Hand-embroidered smock. Beautiful formal gown, probably from the early days of prêt-à-porter in the late 1950s, with a label reading “La boutique enfantine” in Neuilly-sur-Seine. Short sleeves, beautifully pleated over a green-embroidered smock, closed in the back with two small mother-of-pearl buttons. Hand-hemmed. Very good condition, no composition label but cotton feel. Ceremonial dresses are usually worn very loose, so if in doubt, check the measurements.
Measurements flat: height from shoulder 41cm, 28cm from armpit to armpit.
