This dress is the jewel in a crown of absolutely gorgeous 1950s children’s formal wear. All finishes and embroidery are handmade. White and blue formal dress with short balloon sleeves and a small stand-up collar. Embroidered appliqués with white butterflies and flowers on the chest and blue on the body, embroidered. Small band of lace along the pleat at the bust. Incredible stitching detail on the bottom of the petticoat, with a “petal” appliqué sewn on by decorative white buttons. Closed in the back with two small mother-of-pearl buttons. No composition label but cotton feel, very good condition.
Measurements flat: height from shoulder 41cm, 30cm from armpit to armpit.
